For a long time it was normal for each village to have its own “Backes” – an oven used by the whole community. It was also normal, of course, for these ovens to come from Bell.

We at Hermann Heuft Backofenbau are keeping this tradition alive, too. Even today, we build “Backes” ovens for interested village communities, thereby helping them to continue the delightful tradition of collective baking.

In addition to this, we offer the growing number of ambitious amateur bakers the incomparable quality of our ovens in smaller dimensions for their homes: Whether electric or wood-burning, in the garden, kitchen or your own private “Backes” – we will always give you the perfect oven for your personal requirements.

And if you’d prefer to build your oven yourself, we sell assembly kits for small wood-burning ovens.
