The tuff stone from Bell features exceptional qualities … which is why Bell tuff is at the core of every one of our ovens.
In order to take advantage of the strong properties of Bell tuff for the production of modern ovens as well, the Heuft family developed a casting process fifty years ago already. This process involved producing stone slabs from ground tuff that could be adjusted to the size of each individual oven, but maintained the unique properties of the natural stone. The slabs manufactured by this process bear the name “Hetufin”, an abbreviation of “HEUFT TUFF INNEN” (HEUFT TUFF INTERIOR). These can naturally be purchased separately, without our complete ovens.
